Astronaut First Look

Here's a first glimpse at the darling face of the main character. Look at him, resting so peacefully. Not even aware of the horrors that are to beset him in the coming months.

Pre-production for the demo is complete and for the few days I've been on this new ridiculous schedule I'm on track to meet my deadlines, despite feeling a bit under the weather still.

Things really should start picking up as soon as I get back into the swing of things. It feels good to be back into heavy production mode, many exciting things to come.

Pre-Production Shenanigans

This week's update is more obligatory than anything. I meant to have something more tangible this week but as is usually the case with pre-production, you can never really predict how long it'll take you to sort everything out. There's a lot of tough calls to be made when deciding what your game is going to be, what it is that you'll be committing to for the long haul. You don't want to bite off more than you can chew and you definitely don't want to end up making something you simply will stop caring about. At this point I can at least say the latter won't happen as I'm quite gifted in thinking up coolio ideas but now it's just a lot of number crunching to make sure that I'm not in over my head.
At the very least, rest assured that I'm hard at work and things will start heating up quickly as I get my developer legs again.
Pre-production completion percentage = 25%

And We're Back!

2014 was an interesting year full of intrigue, small game development and not a lot of money. The Oculus Rift Arena Game I've decided to put on hold since the Rift is taking a bit longer than I suspected to gain some traction. That's the bad news. The good news is: SPACED OUT is BACK!!!

Zip up your space suits ladies and gents because legitimate development is happening and I'm aiming for a release Q4 2015!
